Job Description:
We are looking for a proactive and organized Assistant Operations Manager to join our team in managing international road haulage operations. If you have experience in logistics, excellent coordination skills, and a focus on operational efficiency, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in daily management of fleet operations, including route planning and scheduling.
- Monitor shipment progress to ensure on-time delivery and handle any operational issues that arise.
- Coordinate with drivers and logistics teams to optimize load efficiency and maintain service quality.
- Ensure compliance with international transport and safety regulations.
- Communicate with customers, addressing any inquiries or concerns related to shipments.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Support recruitment, training, and performance management of drivers and operational staff.
- Collaborate with customs and regulatory bodies to manage cross-border compliance requirements.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or operations management (ideally within international road haulage).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with transport management systems and industry regulations.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Knowledge of customs procedures and cross-border regulations is a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Maltese
- Working knowledge of Italian
