Our Story

A little bit of history

Parnis England Trucking was established in 1983.

It is a subsidiary company of W.J. Parnis England, itself incorporated in 1899 by William John Parnis England.

Parnis England Trucking specialises in trailer services between Malta, mainland Europe and the UK. The company also offers sea container LCL and airfreight services to and from most worldwide locations. The organisation has a network of reputable international partners and agents and together we provide an efficient, effective and comprehensive service to customers.

Over the past few decades the organisation has positioned itself as one of the major groupage and Full Load Trailer haulage operators in Malta. The utilisation of box, tilt, mega and double-decker trailers gives them the flexibility and capacity required for this mode of transport.

In the early 90’s Parnis England Trucking was the first trailer operators on the island to be awarded with the prestigious ISO certification.

WJPE has been run by the Parnis England family for over a century and is one of the most well-respected family businesses in Malta.  Over recent decades the organisation has expanded into several other sectors including manufacturing Avifilm Export Corporation, importation of products for industry, retail and industrial cleaning WJPE Commercial,  and nutritional supplement and wellness product retail  Holland & Barrett MaltaThe company has grown to be one of the largest commercial enterprises on the island.

Company structure

The Board of Directors consists of the four Parnis England siblings, Stephen, Johanna, Nicholas and Robin, who are fourth generation direct descendants of the founder of the well-known Parnis England Group, William John Parnis England.

The current Managing Director is Stephen Parnis England, ably supported by his fellow directors as well as a dynamic and structured organisation.

Skilled and experienced managers head our operational, marketing, customer service, customs clearance, warehousing, I.T. and Quality Control departments.

Staff members all undergo regular in house and external training to ensure that our systems are continually updated and that our renowned personal levels of service remain unrivalled.
